Mastering English Communication

Welcome to Mastering English Communication

A space for students and professionals building real-world communication skills

Hi, I’m Michael Jones — a corporate communications coach and cross-cultural communication specialist based in Jeju, Korea. With over 15 years of experience helping professionals in industries like energy, healthcare, automotive, and media, I design and lead customized programs that go beyond textbook English to focus on authentic, impactful communication.

Much of what you’ll find here — articles, lessons, and discussion prompts — supports my one-on-one and group sessions with clients. It’s a working archive of the materials I use in real sessions, tailored for professionals aiming to improve fluency, clarity, and confidence in English, particularly in global business settings.

Before coaching, I worked in international PR, business strategy, and education, and I hold a Master’s in International Studies along with fluency in Korean and Chinese. That background shapes the way I teach — practical, culturally aware, and always focused on real-world outcomes.

Feel free to explore the materials here, and if something resonates with you, I’d be happy to hear from you.

Warm regards,

Michael Jones
Corporate Communications Coach
